We began our explorations by considering how the typical user at an EDM concert interacts. We quickly realized that the environment, the music, and other factors create conditions that make it hard for users to focus on complex interactions with unfamiliar patterns.

After a few rounds of rough sketches, we landed on a UX that was simple to use, focusing on three obvious interactions, using liking as a way to curate the best content to the top. Parsing content across new, hot, and friends also allowed for quicker access to moments captured at these live events.

Wireframes evolved into final design with some changes to simplify the UX even more. We explored a few different looks including a darker tougher scheme and a flatter aesthetic. Our visual style developed into a fun, colorful, and simple palette that uses playful animations to guide user interactions.
