One of our overarching goals at MLB is to give fans new ways to appreciate the stories of baseball.
We’re always pushing the limits of what’s possible. First it was streaming video, then it was HD 1080 60p, and then it was 10K 360 stereoscopic VR.
We developed an original VR video series called “On The Verge” that focused on up and coming players approaching greatness, told over a season of the game. This series was published to Youtube and our own suite of products.

This project was based on the Emmy nominated work we did in the 2016 Postseason.
This included fast turnaround VR videos for social media platforms and MLB.com, often delivered within an hour of onfield events. Cutting our teeth in 2016 allowed us to learn, iterate, and deliver timely content tailored for VR—all produced in exceptionally high quality from camera to post production.
We delivered an industry first 360 Stereoscopic VR graphics package to be templated and used across all pieces in the series.
In addition, we established the original pipeline and prototyped the production process using Google’s Jump cameras. All this was edited, sound designed, and mastered in stereoscopic 360 VR @ 8K streaming to fans across the world.
