Because this product sits at the intersection between Quora and Reddit, we spent time researching the different ways that users on both platforms interact with content. We wanted to make an experience that felt familiar and unique, but also encouraged authoring and sharing great ideas. We created a distinction between the anything goes ethic of Reddit and the question focus of Quora by allowing a place where everything from the very whimsical to the serious idea can live.

We knew that search and browsing large content libraries would be an issue. As a result, we developed a UX that allows trending ideas based on interest to bubble to the top but also offered a Search functionality with deep control that makes finding what you’re interested in quick and intuitive.
